Pembroke College - Oxford

Catershop are proud to announce the completion of the new catering facilities at Pembroke College, Oxford. This flagship design & installation was completed on time and within budget and went live on the 10th March 2011.

Catershop were appointed to work in close co-operation with the College and their architects to design, supply and install new catering facilities for the redevelopment of the Pembroke College Main Hall site.  Our brief was to produce an energy efficient production and service facility that uses electricity as the primary power source.

The main production kitchen was relocated on the first floor together with a new decorative servery.  The servery itself was designed to look clean and visually appealing whilst not detracting from the natural, classic features of the room.   In addition a new dishwasher area and pantry service room were created.

On the lower ground floor a new preparation kitchen was installed together with a new pastry room, larder, vegetable preparation room, potwash, meat and fish preparation room.  All areas are supported with bespoke manufactured cold and freezer rooms together with a fully equipped dry store.

A new student bar was installed on the lower ground floor with service room and beer store.

Main ventilation equipment incorporated ultra violet filtration to minimise odour emissions and maintain clean ductwork.

All equipment was carefully chosen to meet the clients brief and special consideration was given to the quality and likely longevity of the equipment specified.  This is complimented by custom fabricated, cantilever style stainless steel fabrication.

The project was delivered on programme and within budget and went live on 10th March 2011.
